Shag

One of the many cool things about Chapel Street is it’s lined with amazing vintage shops to explore! I first found out about SHAG through one of the blogs I follow, and was really hoping to find time to stop there. Luckily, on our last day in Melbourne we had a couple hours to spare! Grant, the very pleasant bearded man behind the counter was thrilled to have two foreigners to keep him company for a little while we shopped. Such an awesome spot!

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. Life is crazy, but I can’t complain. Australia, get ready for me.

TOLDEO RECAP #1

Last weekend Tony, my sister Dorothy, and I headed up to Toledo for a show Tony was doing at Wesley's. I've never seen the crowd this wild before! There had to be at least a few hundred people there singing along to all the songs, and just all around getting rowdy. Rowdy is what we like, so it was too much fun!

BEACON'S CLOSET

One of Tony’s friends got us hip to Beacon’s Closet in Brooklyn, so on our way out we headed there for a little vintage shopping. We saved the best for last, let me tell you! 5,500 sq feet of nothing but amazing-ness. They’ve taken the concept of buying and selling “vintage” or “thrift” clothes to a whole new level! It’s 100% better than Plato’s Closet, Goodwill or The Village Discount (and that’s a bold statement). A must go if you’re in the Brooklyn area.
